Location: Chelsea, London – Cadogan Clinic.

Salary: £38,000 per annum. Full‑time, permanent, 40 hours per week. Variable rota including on‑call shifts.

Cadogan Clinic is an award‑winning private day hospital specialising in plastic surgery and dermatology, located in the heart of Chelsea. We are looking for an experienced Ambulatory Lead to join our theatre and ambulatory ward team, supporting leading plastic surgeons and peri‑operative teams across three state‑of‑the‑art operating theatres.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and supervising the ambulatory nursing team, including permanent, bank, and agency staff
  • Supporting the Theatre Manager and Consultant Clinical Directors in day‑to‑day theatre operations
  • Mentoring, coaching, and developing staff to deliver high clinical standards
  • Ensuring compliance with infection control, CQC regulations, and clinical governance protocols
  • Coordinating rotas and on‑call schedules to ensure consistent and safe patient care
  • Overseeing patient flow, pre‑ and post‑operative assessment, and recovery care
  • Leading resuscitation calls, emergency drills, and audits in line with Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines
  • Acting as a role model for professional standards, teamwork, and patient‑centred care
  • Leading the collection of patient’s satisfaction surveys

What You’ll Bring

Essential

  • NMC‑registered nurse or ODP with theatre and peri‑operative experience
  • Senior theatre/anaesthetic experience (minimum Band 6)
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Strong knowledge of pre‑ and post‑operative care, theatre protocols, and patient safety
  • Ability to mentor, supervise, and develop clinical teams

Desirable

  • ALS/ILS certification
  • Mentoring qualifications or people management training (ILM)
  • Experience in anaesthetic equipment management and phlebotomy
  • Exposure to day‑case surgery or cosmetic/plastic surgery
