Are you looking for a central London events sales role in a venue with history, purpose, and personality? Mary Ward House is a busy conference and events venue in Bloomsbury, offering 37 unique event spaces for meetings and conferences from 2 to 500 delegates. We are now looking for an Event Sales Co-ordinator to join our small, close-knit team.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, you will be a key part of our sales function and the first point of contact for many of our clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing incoming enquiries via phone, email, and online portals
- Preparing tailored event proposals and accurate quotations
- Managing the venue diary and allocating the right spaces to the right events
- Loading and tracking enquiries on our CRM system
- Following up leads, issuing contracts, and securing bookings
- Managing and developing key client accounts
- Supporting proactive sales activity, including client follow-ups, presentations, and venue show-rounds
- Working closely with the Events team to ensure a smooth handover and exceptional client experience
The role is primarily Monday–Friday, 9am–5.30pm, with occasional evening or weekend work to support the business.

Mary Ward House is a stunning conference centre in central Bloomsbury, within walking distance of Euston, King's Cross, and St Pancras. Set within a beautiful historic building, our venue combines period character with modern facilities, including a garden and courtyard. We are proud custodians of a site with deep educational and social history and continue that ethos by creating spaces for learning, communication, and collaboration.
What we're looking for
This role would suit someone early in their events career who enjoys a fast-paced environment. You must have a minimum of 1 years experience within event sales. You'll ideally have:
- Experience in a sales, events, hospitality, or customer-facing role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple enquiries
- Confidence learning new systems and processes
- A proactive, team-focused approach
- An interest in marketing and/or social media (advantageous but not essential)
We're particularly keen to hear from candidates who enjoy building relationships and seeing events through from first enquiry to successful handover.
