The Events and Sponsorship Manager is key to developing and executing third-party event programs that align with Preqin's business objectives and enhance our brand presence and awareness within the Alternatives industry. Reporting to the Head of Events Marketing, the Events and Sponsorship Manager will work as part of a busy global events team, taking responsibility for supporting our US and EMEA-sponsored events programme.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop a comprehensive sponsorship strategy aligned with business and marketing goals for the EMEA and US regions.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of potential sponsorships and conferences, evaluating value propositions and negotiating contract terms to maximize sponsored events ROI.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key conference organizers and partners.
  • Develop and manage sponsorship budgets for sponsored events ensuring efficient allocation of resources and a focus on cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute targeted marketing and promotional campaigns to improve brand visibility at key industry conferences.
  • Manage social media campaigns to support event participation and brand messaging.
  • Negotiate and secure sponsorship and partnership agreements that deliver measurable results.
  • Oversee the planning, logistics, and execution of sponsored events within the third-party portfolio.

What you’ll bring to us:

  • Experience in sponsorship and partnership marketing, ideally within the financial or professional services industry.
  • Experience developing and executing successful sponsorship and partnership programmes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in SalesForce, Pardot and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
