This exciting role delivers growth to The Experience Studio at Amex GBT business in EMEA with a focus on the UK market. Key focus of this role is new client sales as well as cross selling from other areas business within GBT Group. The role requires effective researching and qualifying of prospects, and creating win strategies to build a high value pipeline to ensure successful achievement of targets.
What youβll do:
- Working with the Head of Business Development for M&E in the UK to develop and deliver the local Sales Strategy aligning with global initiatives
- Identify, manage and drive prospects through the selling lifecycle in the UK live corporate events market environment
- Delivering new business opportunities in line with targets
- Contribution towards the profitability of the company by focusing on high revenue generating opportunities
- Confidently sell our whole Experience Studio portfolio of services β Sourcing, Event Management, Group Travel & Creative Production
- Engage proactively across the GBT business at all levels β building a multi-function network
- Collaborate with cross selling opportunities from Business Travel clients and other areas within Amex GBT
- Generate new business leads and client conversions
- Successfully build relationships and engage at key stakeholder level
- Monitor and build market and competitor awareness
- Network and represent the company in industry communities
- Work with creative team to deliver sales material and produce high quality pitch responses to win new business
- Work with Head of Business Development in the UK for client engagement activities
- Ownership of RFI and RFP responses including acting as bid captain for own client opportunities
- Represent Amex GBT Experience Studio at industry events and speaking engagements
- Produce monthly and quarterly reporting as required
What Weβre Looking For:
- Proven track record in sales negotiations, new business results and closing skills in the corporate events marketplace
- Experience within a Business Development Role
- The ability to demonstrate strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to influence prospective client decisions
- Proven success in developing and running a structured sales process
- Be comfortable liaising with stakeholder spectrum; C-level, Heads of Department, procurement, internal operations & administration managers
- Target driven and high level of attention to detail
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Fluent in written and spoken Business English, a second European language such as German would be advantageous
- Excellent client communication and presentation skills
- Background and experience of working with a range of industry sectors; experience in the events industry is a plus
- Excellent IT skills including experience of a CRM system
- Independent and highly motivated with flexibility and ability to adapt
- Able to work well in a Team in a virtual and live environment
