Your responsibilities as Butchery Manager:
- Oversee daily production and retail activities, ensuring consistently high standards
- Lead, coach and develop the existing team while supporting training and knowledge sharing
- Manage stock control, ordering and supplier relationships to maintain availability and minimise waste
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and quality standards across all areas of the operation
- Support retail customers with expert product guidance while helping grow trade accounts
- Assist with operational planning, equipment oversight and community-based activities when required
What we’re looking for in a Butchery Manager:
- Extensive full carcass preparation and meat processing experience across multiple species
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of stock management, ordering and inventory control processes
- Experience training and developing junior team members or apprentices
- Background working within traditional, independent, wholesale or catering supply environments
Working hours: 40–45 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, with two days off per week.
