About us
We are a specialist recruitment business focused solely on the meat industry. The Butchers Recruiter works exclusively with meat processors, butchery businesses and food manufacturers across the UK. We've placed hundreds of skilled workers, supplied millions of agency hours, and built trusted partnerships with over 150 processors. We are an owner-led, hands‑on business that understands the shop floor, production environments and commercial pressures inside out. We believe in honest conversations, strong delivery and recruitment that genuinely works.
The Role
We are hiring a Partnership Manager – New Business to work closely with our Group Partnership Manager in developing and growing long‑term client partnerships across the UK meat industry. This is a commercial, relationship‑led role, focused on winning and developing new business within meat processing, butchery and food manufacturing environments. You will attend key client meetings alone and together with the GPM, help progress opportunities from initial conversation through to signed Terms of Business and handover to delivery. This is not a standalone sales role. You will not be operating in isolation; success in this role comes from working closely with senior leadership to deliver sustainable, well‑structured partnerships rather than transactional wins.
Why Join Us?
- Work directly with senior leadership and be part of shaping strategy
- Clear progression into senior partnership / commercial leadership roles
- Strong delivery infrastructure already in place
- Opportunity to build a genuine reputation as a specialist partner in the meat industry
- Collaborative, adult culture, no hard sales tactics
What you’ll be doing as Partnership Manager:
- Identify and develop new client opportunities across the UK meat industry, engaging processors, wholesalers, manufacturers and traditional butchers
- Lead outreach, qualification conversations and relationship‑building activity, progressing opportunities through to signed Terms of Business
- Manage the full sales pipeline, presenting agreed recruitment solutions, fee structures and partnership models aligned to commercial frameworks
- Attend client meetings and site visits independently and alongside the Group Partnership Manager to strengthen partnerships and progress negotiations
- Handle objections professionally, escalate commercial decisions where required and ensure all activity is accurately maintained within the CRM
- Collaborate closely with leadership to shape client strategy, share market intelligence and competitor insight, and support smooth vacancy handovers to the resourcing team
- Contribute to the wider growth strategy of The Butchers Recruiter division through consistent business development and partnership activity
What we’re looking for:
Essential
- Proven recruitment sales experience (180 / BDM / Sales/ Partnership roles)
- Experience selling into operational, manufacturing or production‑led environments
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders (MDs, Operations, HR)
- Strong commercial judgement and professional credibility
- Full UK driving licence
- Well‑presented, trustworthy, driven and organised
Desirable
- Experience within food, meat, manufacturing or FMCG recruitment
- Understanding of permanent and temp‑to‑perm recruitment models
- Track record of building long‑term client relationships (not just transactional deals)
