The Butchers Recruiter is the UK's only dedicated meat‑industry recruitment specialist, supporting butchery, processing, food manufacturing, wholesale, and protein businesses nationwide. Due to continued growth across the business, we're looking for a Recruitment Resourcer to join our Traditional, Cratering, Hospitality and Craft Butchery Division, supporting the delivery of high‑quality placements. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced recruitment environment and enjoys sourcing, talent pooling, and building relationships within niche candidate markets. Meat‑industry experience is not essential — we will teach you the sector.

What you’ll be doing as Recruitment Resourcer?

You will work as part of our dedicated resourcing team, ensuring strong candidate pipelines and smooth delivery across a variety of vacancies, including:

  • Head Butchers
  • Butchery Managers
  • Butchers Supervisors
  • Senior Butchers
  • Butchers

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing end‑to‑end candidate sourcing, screening, and shortlisting for permanent vacancies
  • Writing, optimising, and posting job adverts across all sourcing channels
  • Conducting telephone and video interviews to assess suitability, skills, and experience
  • Building and nurturing long‑term talent pools for ongoing and future roles
  • Conducting proactive headhunting and market mapping within niche and specialist sectors
  • Coordinating interviews, preparing candidates, and managing feedback loops
  • Maintaining accurate candidate and vacancy records in CRM systems (Salesforce, Excel, internal trackers)
  • Ensuring full compliance around Right to Work, references, and onboarding documentation
  • Providing a high‑quality, professional candidate experience at every stage
  • Meeting resourcing KPIs such as CV submissions, candidate quality metrics, interviews booked & pipeline activity/responsiveness

We’re looking for a Recruitment Resourcer with:

  • Previous experience in agency or internal recruitment
  • Strong sourcing capability across CV databases, LinkedIn, and direct search
  • Ability to manage multiple roles and candidate pipelines simultaneously
  • Confident conducting interviews and assessing suitability
  • Highly organised, process‑driven, and able to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and candidate‑management skills
  • Professional, proactive, and able to work effectively in a team environment

Desirable:

  • Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or specialist/niche recruitment
  • Exposure to compliance‑led or regulated recruitment environments
  • Knowledge of the meat industry or meat‑processing environment would be a strong advantage
  • Ability to understand technical requirements of skilled roles

Industry knowledge is not required — full training will be provided.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 (core hours). We operate a supportive and flexible environment, with a realistic, collaborative approach to workload and performance.
