A busy, traditional Brighton Butcher serving a diverse retail and commercial customer base in a growing business is looking for a Junior Butcher to join the team. The business is stable, growing, and customer focused and this is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role in a busy retail environment, with training and development provided. You will be working 55 hours per week (06:00-17:00), Monday‑Saturday, with Sunday & one weekday off.

Responsibilities

  • Daily preparation and shop set‑up
  • Trimming, portioning, and finishing meat
  • Counter service and customer advice
  • Supporting preparation of lamb, beef, and pork
  • Maintaining hygiene and food safety
  • Stock rotation and close‑down duties

Qualifications

  • Basic to mid‑level knife skills
