Your responsibilities as Red Meat & Poultry Butcher:
- Bone, trim and prepare beef, pork, lamb and poultry to customer specifications
- Portion steaks, chops and other cuts accurately to required weights
- Maintain food safety, hygiene standards and clean-as-you-go working practices
- Ensure batch coding, traceability and correct storage within chilled environments
- Pick and fulfil customer orders accurately while minimising waste
- Follow PPE requirements and safe working procedures at all times
What we're looking for in a Red Meat & Poultry Butcher:
- Previous butchery, boning, trimming and portion control experience
- Ability to successfully complete a practical block test
- Experience working with both Halal and Non-Halal products
- Good understanding of written and spoken English to follow specifications and orders
- Right to work in the UK and an industry-recognised qualification is advantageous
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday (Saturday is job and finish) 5:00am – 2:00pm
