When products leave a food manufacturing site, customers need to know they are safe, legal and consistently produced to the required standard. As a Quality Controller, you'll be on the factory floor making sure processes, checks and records stand up to scrutiny while identifying issues before they become bigger problems.

Your responsibilities as Quality Controller
- Complete factory checks against HACCP procedures and product specifications, escalating discrepancies and non-conformances
- Carry out CCP, pre-start, hygiene and measuring-equipment verification checks in line with agreed schedules
- Maintain accurate paperwork and records to support full product traceability and due diligence
- Support investigations into customer complaints, rejected products and factory issues, coordinating documentation and corrective actions
- Complete organoleptic assessments and microbiological sampling, collecting and collating samples as required
- Monitor food safety, GMP, hygiene and PPE compliance, reporting issues to relevant production and technical management
What we’re looking for in a Quality Controller
- Previous experience working in a quality control role in a food manufacturing environment
- Good record-keeping and analytical skills
- A good standard of numeracy and literacy
- Knowledge of HACCP procedures, GMP and food hygiene requirements
- Understanding of factory auditing, traceability and food-safety documentation
- Ability to complete and maintain accurate compliance records
