We’re recruiting an experienced Skilled Butcher to join a well-established and growing wholesale operation based in Boston. This is a hands-on butchery role focused on quality, consistency, and craftsmanship, supplying high-quality products to hospitality and catering customers. This is not a production-line role - it will suit a butcher who takes pride in their work and delivers consistently high standards.

What you’ll be doing as Skilled Butcher

This is a modern butchery environment focused on skilled meat preparation and order fulfilment, supplying high-quality products. It is not a slaughterhouse role, but a clean, structured operation where craftsmanship and consistency are key.

  • You will be responsible for preparing a variety of meat products to wholesale and customer-specific requirements within a fast-paced butchery environment.
  • Preparing and portioning beef, lamb, pork, and chicken
  • Working with primal and part-processed cuts
  • Producing wholesale cuts and bespoke customer orders
  • Preparing value-added products such as mince, burgers, and sausages
  • Operating butchery machinery safely and efficiently
  • Receiving and checking stock deliveries
  • Labelling and preparing orders for dispatch
  • Using internal systems to process orders and print labels
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and product quality

What we’re looking for a Skilled Butcher:

  • Proven experience in butchery (retail, wholesale, or food production)
  • Strong knife skills and product knowledge
  • Experience preparing value-added and processed products
  • Confidence using butchery equipment and machinery
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team environment
  • Basic IT skills for order processing and labelling

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm

Working Pattern: 5 days from 6 (Sunday to Friday)
