The predicted salary is between 11.7 - 14.3 £ per hour.
Night hygiene is where food safety is won or lost. When production stops, the real protection of product quality begins - and that’s where you will play a critical role as Hygiene Operative.
Working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, this position ensures machinery, production lines, and factory areas are cleaned, stripped down, and reassembled to exact hygiene standards so the next shift can start safely and compliantly.

Your responsibilities as Hygiene Operative:
- Carry out full strip-downs, deep cleans, and reassembly of production machinery
- Clean conveyors, mincers, skinning machines, and other factory equipment
- Follow Cleaning Instruction Cards (CICs) and hygiene SOPs precisely
- Use cleaning chemicals safely in line with COSHH requirements
- Complete hygiene tasks across production areas, including elevated work zones
- Report equipment damage, hazards, or safety issues immediately
What we’re looking for in a Hygiene Operative:
- Previous hygiene or industrial cleaning experience within a regulated environment
- Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene compliance standards
- Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely within controlled processes
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning instructions and technical procedures accurately
- Understanding of health and safety standards within manufacturing environments
Working hours:
Available across 4 on / 4 off, Monday–Friday, and Tuesday–Saturday night patterns.
