Location: Spalding (PE11)

Pay Rate: £12.21 start rate | £12.87 after training + overtime £16.09 per hour

Contract Type: Temp to Perm (permanent contract after 12 weeks)

Shifts: Continental 2-2-3 | 12-hour shifts | 8am–8pm

Vital People are currently recruiting for Team Leader Assistants to join our client, a well-established and fast-growing fruit supplier based in Spalding (PE11). This position offers excellent long-term prospects, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract after a 3-month trial period for candidates who show commitment, reliability, and the ability to support their team effectively.

You will work within a busy food production environment, helping to oversee workflow, maintain quality standards, and ensure all daily tasks are completed safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to guide others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Team Leader in coordinating daily workloads and delegating tasks
  • Provide clear instructions to team members to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Ensure production targets are met within the shift
  • Monitor quality of products throughout the process
  • Assist with training new team members when required
  • Report any issues, delays, or safety concerns to management
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
What We’re Looking For
  • No experience required – full training provided
  • Previous experience in food production, FMCG, or a similar role is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to follow instructions and give direction
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work 12-hour shifts
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the business
  • Able to start immediately
Shifts & Pay
  • Continental 2-2-3 pattern: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on
  • 12-hour shifts (8am–8pm)
  • Pay rate: £12.87 per hour
  • Overtime rate: £16.09 per hour
