Working for this established and growing organisation, the Senior Account Manager will have responsibility for maintaining relationships with key corporate client accounts, ensuring you are seen as a business partner and increasing the revenue and profitability of all accounts. The Senior Account Manager will be rewarded with a competitive bonus scheme; 23 days’ holiday, increasing with service to 30 days; quarterly staff awards and long service rewards; company events; a healthcare cashback scheme and life assurance. As the Senior Account Manager, your hours of work would be Monday to Friday 8am to 5:30pm. You will be expected to travel to meet clients and business sources at their offices and attend Head Office as and when required – likely to be 4 days a month.
Overview of the role:
- Responsibility for the relationship with your key accounts, maintaining and increasing the revenue and profitability of all accounts.
- Responsibility for researching and developing new types and streams of business within each account.
- Maintain senior relationships with the corporate account, up to and including Board level.
- Ensure that the company is seen as being much more than just a supplier, rather as a business partner and the Senior Account Manager should establish a consultative relationship with senior staff.
- Develop and own the Account Plan for each client.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Organise and run regular review meetings.
- Prior to the client meeting, hold an internal meeting to review Account Plan objectives, progress and next actions.
- Review MI prior to client issue and agree in advance any actions required.
- Ensure all parties complete their actions from any review meeting within the agreed timescales.
- In addition to the regular monthly meetings, organise a quarterly meeting with the account to formally review progress on new/existing income streams and to present new business ideas and potential income streams.
- Monitor and chase any actions being completed by the corporate account.
- Remain up to date on news and changes with the account.
- Deliver regular management information to the corporate account at agreed intervals.
- Regularly discuss and review the content of the management information to ensure the clients' requirements are met at all times.
- Produce and/or organise any ad-hoc reports required by the client.
- Make certain that the corporate account contacts are informed of new products and services available.
- Manage the implementation of any new products and services.
- Support the compilation of proposals/tender responses for any new products or contract renewals.
- Convey any issues or important information to the client by the most appropriate means of communication.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of five years B2B Account Management experience, gained in the financial services sector.
- People management with the proven ability to influence change.
- Track record of successful product launches.
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
- Business/Marketing Management degree (desirable).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivation with the drive to achieve results.
- Influencing skills with a positive solution approach to problems.
- Presentation skills, with the confidence to present up to Board level.
- Willingness to travel to Head Office, client sites and trade exhibitions.
