Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate potential and existing suppliers to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and legal standards
- Conduct supplier visits and audits
- Maintain raw material specifications, including measurable tolerances
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and use insights to drive continuous improvement
- Support Commercial and NPD teams in approving new raw materials for site use
- Train and manage the intake team to ensure effective quality checks are carried out
- Ensure all supplier non-conformances are recorded and followed up with timely corrective actions
- Act as the lead contact for investigating and resolving raw material non-conformities
- Maintain seasonality calendars to identify and mitigate supply risks
- Manage vulnerability assessments, highlighting and addressing supply chain risks
- Support the Customer Support team by building specifications and responding to raw material queries
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to raw material quality
- Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships
Requirements:
- Internal Auditing Qualification
- VACCP/TACCP training
- Desirable: Degree in Food Science, Agronomy, or related discipline
- Strong facilitation and negotiation skills
- Food Safety Level 3
- Commercial awareness
- Minimum of 1 year experience in food manufacturing
