Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate potential and existing suppliers to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and legal standards
  • Conduct supplier visits and audits
  • Maintain raw material specifications, including measurable tolerances
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and use insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Support Commercial and NPD teams in approving new raw materials for site use
  • Train and manage the intake team to ensure effective quality checks are carried out
  • Ensure all supplier non-conformances are recorded and followed up with timely corrective actions
  • Act as the lead contact for investigating and resolving raw material non-conformities
  • Maintain seasonality calendars to identify and mitigate supply risks
  • Manage vulnerability assessments, highlighting and addressing supply chain risks
  • Support the Customer Support team by building specifications and responding to raw material queries
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to raw material quality
  • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships

Requirements:

  • Internal Auditing Qualification
  • VACCP/TACCP training
  • Desirable: Degree in Food Science, Agronomy, or related discipline
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills
  • Food Safety Level 3
  • Commercial awareness
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in food manufacturing
