Material Handler A well-established and innovative company located in East Sussex, specialising in providing cutting-edge, hygiene and chemical solutions for a wide range of industries. They are now seeking a Materials Handler to ensure the correct materials and components are received, stored and provided to achieve production aims. Material Handler’s Location- Newhaven East Sussex, UK Material Handler’s Benefits- £25K to £27k, 23 days Holiday Entitlement, Pension, Company Events, Free Parking, Development & Training Material Handler’s Responsibilities * Load and unload trucks with materials * Wrap pallets of materials * Collect rejects from assembly lines. * Weigh scrap and send it to the recycle Centre. * Dispatch and receive materials. * Book in items using internal software. * Operate a wrapping machine and pallet trucks and forklift. * Read and follow work instructions. * Conduct cycle counts and stock takes. * Inspect warehouse equipment. * Consolidate stock. * Transfer stock between warehouses * Prepare tools for service. Material Handler’s Experience/Skills/Knowledge/Qualities Desired * Experienced and qualified (External or Internal) FLT Licence (Counterbalance) * Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. * Ability to fluently speak, understand, read, and write English. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. * Certified training in the safe use and operation of materials handling equipment. * Able to lift and move goods and materials within HSE guidelines. * Quality focussed. * Customer focussed. * Good attention to detail * Good timekeeping * Proactive attitude * Flexibility Team working We are an equal opportunities agency and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
