This is an exceptional opportunity to join a global business in their local office, based on the outskirts of Chester. It is a 5-month fixed term contract joining a small, motivated team as a Planning Co-ordinator. You will become part of a worldwide leader company in their sector, with a great focus on sustainability.
The role will be 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday. Salary £28,000 – £32,000 pro rata.
The Planning Co-ordinator role will cover all the planning functions for the UK related to the production of products to meet customer expectations. The Planning Co-ordinator will be a pivotal role to co-ordinate raw materials and work with the Raw Material Scheduler to oversee the total demand.
Key responsibilities:- Send production orders weekly to the manufacturer
- Create a weekly stock projection of raw materials and review it weekly with the Replenishment Buyer to make sure production can be met
- Review and plan attainment weekly
- Maintain optimal inventory levels based on business target stocks
- Review daily production plan in line with daily orders going out and make arbitration if needed
- Book stock in using the inhouse system once production has been completed
- Create monthly production forecasts for finished goods for the next 6 months which will drive to produce a production plan
- Generate a monthly stock projection for raw materials for the same period
- Analyse actual orders vs forecast and raise any issues to the forecasting team/ Customer Service
- Monitor aged stock and propose solutions
- Supply chain background with production planning / scheduling / stock replenishment
