System Engineer | £90,000 - £120,000 | Remote Overview My client, a leading-edge technology firm are looking for a System Engineer with at least 3 years' experience to bridge wireless communications and their software platform. This is a hybrid systems/software role which will combine wireless engineering expertise with software skills to ensure system models are high-performing, robust and operationally resilient. What You’ll Do * Create and keep detailed, accurate system models that power how the dynamic wireless networks run * Write reliable, production-ready code — using Python, Go or C++ — to connect the platform to customers’ own hardware * Shape and refine the data structures that underpin even the most complex network setups * Carry out detailed analysis on link budgets, signal behaviour and coverage across different environments * Step in as the lead troubleshooter for their most complex live network issues * Work alongside product and engineering teams to turn one-off custom solutions into standard, reusable features Experience Needed * Solid software engineering fundamentals alongside a clear understanding of physical-layer communications * Coding experience — hands-on development in Python, Go, or C++, confident writing production-ready code and comfortable completing an entry-level software engineering coding assessment * Wireless systems knowledge — practical understanding of RF path loss, signal propagation, network topology, and link budget calculations * System modelling — experience building or working with network and system simulation tools * Background — degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering (or equivalent practical experience), plus 3+ years working in engineering roles Please apply with your CV now for a confidential discussion.
