This global technology business is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager on a permanent contract. The BDM will cover a territory which includes Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk and will involve being field-based meeting clients for at least 4 days a week, with 1 day working from home.
The successful Business Development Manager will be rewarded with a competitive quarterly bonus scheme; company car, laptop and phone; 31 days holiday including Bank Holidays; life assurance; private medical insurance; pension scheme; and access to a benefits platform.
The Business Development Manager will provide account management and business development services to businesses across the region, maximising sales opportunities. Working remotely, you will be developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers.
Core Responsibilities & Duties- Identify sales opportunities through referrals, leads and prospecting
- Drive company growth by acquiring new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and identifying new market opportunities
- Achieve set sales targets through networking, presentations and market research
- Overcoming objections, negotiating terms and contracts
- Provide updates and act on market changes
- Report weekly and monthly sales activities to Head Office, ensuring an open and transparent communication channel
- Keep up to date on technical product knowledge, both through conducting own research and attending training sessions at the Head Office as required
- Field based B2B sales experience, managing a sales region
- Experience within medical sales, pharmaceutical sales or technology sales
- Technical experience in manufacturing (desirable)
- Results orientated, determined to be the best salesperson
- Good relationship builder
- Able to work on own initiative
- Persuasive and professional personal style
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (written, verbal and 1 to 1 and group)
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Smart professional appearance
