Working for this well-established, innovative and progressive company, the HR Advisor will join a small but motivated team to provide effective HR advice and Employee Relations, support the employee lifecycle and provide payroll and HR administrative support.
To apply for the role, you must be CIPD level 5 and have a proven track record in a commercial HR role.
Working Hours & Location
The HR Advisor will work Monday to Friday. Hybrid working is available following the training period.

Responsibilities
- Provide timely, consistent, and risk-aware HR advice to Managers and employees.
- Confident handling of employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management processes.
- Produce clear, accurate documentation supporting ER decisions and outcomes.
- Ensure HR processes and records are maintained accurately and in line with policy, GDPR, and audit requirements.
- Process payroll and people data inputs accurately and on time.
- Effectively support recruitment, onboarding, probation, development, and exit processes.
- Capture insight from exit interviews and employee feedback.
- Build strong working relationships with Managers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Actively contribute to HR projects, system improvements, and policy development.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- CIPD qualified to level 5 (essential).
- Proven experience in HR policies, procedures, and best practice, and how to apply them.
- Providing clear, confident, and practical HR advice to Managers at all levels – interpret policy and legislation and explain it in accessible, plain language.
- Employee relations processes, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management.
- Independently manage ER cases, knowing when to elevate risk or complexity.
- Experience of maintaining accurate employee data and records within HR systems.
- Understanding of the employee lifecycle from recruitment through to exit.
- Knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application in day-to-day HR advice.
- Skills within payroll processes and how HR contributes to accurate and compliant submissions.
- Understanding of GDPR requirements and the importance of confidentiality and professional judgement.
- Build trusted working relationships and influence effectively.
