Working for this highly successful and passionate business with over 20 years as a recognised market leader, the Receptionist / Administrator will provide a first class professional reception service as well as general administration service, welcoming visitors and maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the Reception area. The Chester Head Office is based in the city centre in a stunning location – the role is fully office-based. The Receptionist / Administrator will work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. This is a 12-month maternity contract.
Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet all guests and visitors politely and efficiently
- Co-ordinate supplier visits to the office
- Operate a computerised/digital telephone system
- Deal with all incoming calls, answering queries or forwarding calls to the relevant person as appropriate
- Administer and record special delivery and recorded outgoing mail
- Organise courier collections and deliveries
- Maintain the diary for a suite of meeting rooms and the Boardroom and update the meeting room calendar and notice
- Ensure rooms are tidy and available for interviews/meetings
- Organise refreshments and lunches for meetings
- Organising car parking for staff and visitors
- Stock checking and ordering of stationery
- Adherence to all company GDPR policies
- General office duties including but not limited to: scanning, printing, binding, filing and laminating as required
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience within a similar Reception role is essential
- Exceptional telephone manner and inter-personal skills, professional and calm
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- An ability to build relationships with colleagues, suppliers and visitors
- Ability to work unsupervised and on their own initiative
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Good computer skills including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Good attendance and punctuality, hardworking, reliable, willing to learn
