Our client based in Broughton is currently hiring for a temporary Procurement Administrator on an ongoing basis. As a Procurement Administrator, you will help to maintain the supply inventory levels and liaise with vendors. The Procurement Administrator will ensure that purchasing policies and procedures are adhered to, creation and communication of purchase orders occurs accurately and on time. You will also be responsible for conducting regular price comparisons to ensure that the company is always getting the best price for each product that is purchased. The working days are Monday – Friday, either 08.30am – 4.30pm or 9.00am – 5.00pm. The pay rate is £13.50 per hour, with weekly pay each Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the company databases with data such as cost, vendor, stock count and other purchase order details.
  • Create and issue purchase orders to vendors, following the appropriate company purchasing policies.
  • Monitor the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery; and communicate status of orders with internal customers.
  • Provide the Supply Chain Manager and Buyer with monthly performance reports and statistics.
  • Ensuring adherence to all company policies and prevailing business regulations.
  • Supporting the Supply Chain Manager, Buyer and Procurement team with the creation, communication and filing of appropriate paperwork.
  • Collaborating with company departments to ensure objectives are facilitated and achieved.

Experience and skills:

  • Experience working within a purchasing or procurement environment is desirable, but training will be given.
  • Administer data and paperwork, with attention to detail and the need for accuracy.
  • Confidently communicate with suppliers, on your own or as part of a team.
  • Working with numbers and technical details.
  • Working proficiently with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Working within a team co-operatively.
  • Managing your own time, creating and administering a task priority list based on company needs.
