My client is looking for an Accountant to join their team and manage a portfolio of clients, providing expert accounting, tax, and business advice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building client relationships, delivering high-quality work, and playing a key role in a growing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
  • Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies
  • Complete self-assessment tax returns and corporation tax returns
  • Provide practical financial advice and support to clients
  • Monitor deadlines, workflow, and billing targets
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Respond to client queries efficiently and professionally
  • Support and mentor junior team members
  • Work with IRIS, Sage, DEXT, and Xero

About You:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an accountancy practice
  • AAT qualified or above
  • Strong experience with accounts preparation, self-assessment, and corporation tax
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Full UK driving licence - Please note that there is no current on-site parking at this location, but parking is available close by.
