My client is looking for an Accountant to join their team and manage a portfolio of clients, providing expert accounting, tax, and business advice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building client relationships, delivering high-quality work, and playing a key role in a growing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
- Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies
- Complete self-assessment tax returns and corporation tax returns
- Provide practical financial advice and support to clients
- Monitor deadlines, workflow, and billing targets
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Respond to client queries efficiently and professionally
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Work with IRIS, Sage, DEXT, and Xero
About You:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an accountancy practice
- AAT qualified or above
- Strong experience with accounts preparation, self-assessment, and corporation tax
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Full UK driving licence - Please note that there is no current on-site parking at this location, but parking is available close by.
