Overview
My client, a leading-edge technology firm are looking for a System Engineer with at least 3 years' experience to bridge wireless communications and their software platform.
This is a hybrid systems/software role which will combine wireless engineering expertise with software skills to ensure system models are high-performing, robust and operationally resilient.
What You’ll Do
Create and keep detailed, accurate system models that power how the dynamic wireless networks run
Write reliable, production-ready code — using Python, Go or C++ — to connect the platform to customers’ own hardware
Shape and refine the data structures that underpin even the most complex network setups
Carry out detailed analysis on link budgets, signal behaviour and coverage across different environments
Step in as the lead troubleshooter for their most complex live network issues
Work alongside product and engineering teams to turn one-off custom solutions into standard, reusable features
Experience Needed
Solid software engineering fundamentals alongside a clear understanding of physical-layer communications
Coding experience — hands-on development in Python, Go, or C++ , confident writing production-ready code and comfortable completing an entry-level software engineering coding assessment
Wireless systems knowledge — practical understanding of RF path loss, signal propagation, network topology, and link budget calculations
System modelling — experience building or working with network and system simulation tools
Background — degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering (or equivalent practical experience), plus 3+ years working in engineering roles
