Mow lawns around the garden and parkland to the highest standards.

Apply fertilizers and lawn treatments.

Maintain the tennis court.

Mow and maintain grass verges.

Conduct woodland works, including minor tree tasks.

Produce compost and maintain the compost area.

Perform pond and river maintenance.
-
Clear snow and spread salt around the estate when necessary.

Maintain drains and ditches.
-
Maintain gardens of other properties in and around the estate.
-
Maintain garden buildings, paths, walls, fences, and gates to appropriate standards.

Ensure all machinery and equipment are clean, safe, and properly maintained.

Provide logs and kindling to the main house and other estate properties.
-
Prune and maintain shrubs, trees, and herbaceous plants, and prepare soil beds.

Plant a variety of trees, shrubs, and plants according to the planting schedule and layouts.

Uphold high standards at all times, ensuring health & safety policies and procedures are abided by.

The position would suit a gardener with a real passion for horticulture and excellent attention to detail

You will need to be hands-on, physically fit and work in all weather conditions

The ideal candidate will hold a Horticultural Qualification, Spray Certificates PA1/PA6 and a Chainsaw Certificate however, this is not essential.
