An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Manager to join a diverse, privately owned rural estate in Oxfordshire. Our client manages a substantial mixed-use portfolio of residential and commercial properties and is seeking a capable, organised professional to play a key role in the effective running of the estate’s property interests. This is a varied and hands-on position requiring a confident individual who can work autonomously, take ownership of their workload, and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
The Role
Working closely with senior leadership, you will assist in the management of approximately 100 residential and commercial units, delivering a high standard of service to owners and tenants alike. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the main point of contact for tenants and contractors, overseeing maintenance issues, compliance requirements and timely repairs
- Undertaking property inspections, drafting repair schedules and coordinating contractors, including management of the in-house maintenance team
- Managing lettings processes from marketing and viewings through to tenancy agreements, inventories, pre-tenancy checks, deposit compliance and end-of-tenancy procedures
- Negotiating rent reviews, assisting with licences, and maintaining accurate property records via the estate’s property management systems
- Supporting budget oversight, cashflow awareness and rent arrears management in line with estate objectives
In addition, you will contribute to the wider estate office function as required.
The Candidate
The successful applicant will demonstrate strong all-round property management experience, sound knowledge of current legislation and compliance obligations, and the ability to operate independently while maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships.
Essential / Preferred Criteria:
- ARLA or AssocRICS qualification preferred
- CDM training with good working knowledge of relevant legislation (essential)
- Experience managing residential and commercial property portfolios
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Confident communicator with a professional and customer-focused approach
- Discreet, self-motivated and able to work accurately under pressure
- Full clean UK driving licence
Salary & Benefits
- £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
- Full-time, office-based role near Witney
- Candidates must have a driving license and their own vehicle
