The Burford Recruitment Company are delighted to be supporting a prestigious client in the luxury hospitality sector in search of a service-driven Hospitality and Events Manager. This is a brand-new and exciting role offering the opportunity to elevate the hospitality experience for residents. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee resident and guest experiences of the highest standard, from fine dining and housekeeping excellence to the planning and delivery of exceptional events.
Responsibilities
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and inspire hospitality and housekeeping teams, setting and maintaining luxury service standards
- Service Excellence: Ensure every dining experience and interaction reflects the highest attention to detail, including table presentation, cutlery, and overall ambiance
- Hands-On Hospitality: Lead by example – assisting with formal dining setups, service, and day-to-day operations as needed
- Event Planning & Delivery: Develop, organise, and execute a variety of events, from wine tastings and jazz nights to murder mystery evenings – overseeing all operational details including décor, staffing, and event flow, and being present on the day/night to ensure flawless delivery
- Budget & Compliance: Manage budgets effectively and ensure full compliance with licensing, health, safety, and regulatory standards
- Marketing Collaboration: Work with marketing teams to promote events, manage invitations, and ensure outstanding resident and guest engagement
Skills and Attributes Required
- Proven experience delivering luxury-standard hospitality services with exceptional service etiquette, attention to detail, and experience planning and overseeing events
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Creative flair to design and enhance events and experiences
- Calm, proactive, and solutions-focused under pressure
- Hands-on approach, willing to support the team directly when required
- Organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards
