Are you a meticulous Housekeeper with a warm, professional approach? The Burford Recruitment Company are delighted to be working on behalf of a fully staffed private household near Abingdon, Oxfordshire, who are seeking an experienced Housekeeper to join their dedicated team. Working alongside the Lead Housekeeper, and as part of a team of 4 housekeepers and other household staff, you’ll help maintain this beautiful home to the very highest standards. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years’ experience gained in a private household or luxury 5-star environment, and will understand the level of care and discretion required in a VIP setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Daily housekeeping to exceptional standards across all living areas
- Detailed cleaning, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming
- Careful upkeep of bathrooms and kitchens
- Bed linen and towel changes, laundry, ironing, and seasonal wardrobe management
- Specialist care for fine furnishings, antiques, carpets, and soft furnishings
- Running occasional errands, including dry cleaning
Who we’re looking for:
- A Housekeeper with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a private household or high-end hospitality
- A calm, adaptable person with a keen eye for detail
- Someone who takes pride in delivering outstanding service and working as part of a supportive team
- Professional, discreet, and respectful of privacy
- A driver with your own vehicle is essential due to the rural location (parking available).
