The Burford Recruitment Company is delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established and growing legal services group to recruit a Legal Cashier to join their professional finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual to join a fast-paced environment, where accuracy, efficiency and compliance are key. The role will suit someone who enjoys working with high volumes, managing multiple priorities and collaborating across teams.
Responsibilities:
- Process receipts and payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Manage the movement of client and office funds in line with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SARs)
- Check completion statements and supporting documentation
- Assist with billing and ensure transactions are recorded correctly
- Process payments to clients, lenders and third parties
- Act as a key point of contact for internal teams, supporting finance-related queries
- Assist with resolving residual balances on client accounts
- Process purchase invoices and ensure payments are made within agreed terms
- Support the Lead Legal Cashier and Finance Manager
