Are you an experienced Head Housekeeper looking for your next long-term role within a beautiful private country residence? We are seeking a confident, hands-on and highly organised professional to lead housekeeping operations within a large, fully staffed family home in Oxfordshire. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining immaculate standards and enjoys leading a small team within a well-managed and respectful household environment.
The Role
This is a senior operational position combining hands-on housekeeping with team leadership and household coordination. You will work closely with the House Manager to ensure the property is consistently presented to an exceptional standard and always guest-ready.
Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (Includes weekend working on a rota basis)
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and motivating a small housekeeping team
- Managing rotas and daily task allocation
- Maintaining meticulous standards throughout a substantial family home
- Quality control and presentation oversight
- Hands-on housekeeping duties alongside the team
- Preparing the property for both intimate family gatherings and larger-scale entertaining
About You
- Experienced within a large private household
- A natural leader with strong organisational skills
- Hands-on, detail-driven, and proactive
- Discreet, professional, and comfortable working within a private family setting
- Flexible and willing to work weekends on rotation
- In possession of a full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working around several small to medium-sized dogs
