The Burford Recruitment Company are working on behalf of a private client to appoint an Events Operations Manager (IT & Facilities) for a unique, high-end event, training and conference venue set within an historic estate in the Cotswolds.
This is a hands-on, varied role suited to a highly organised, discreet and proactive individual who thrives in a premium, client-facing environment. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the day-to-day operation, presentation, and technical readiness of the venue before, during and after senior-level meetings and events.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for ensuring the venue is impeccably presented, fully operational and technically supported for each event, acting as the key point of contact on site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilities & Operations
- Manage all event bookings, scheduling and internal communications
- Coordinate external suppliers including cleaning, catering, IT and freelance service staff
- Oversee front-of-house staffing for events
- Maintain the venue’s physical condition and manage contractors
- Monitor utilities including heating and ventilation
- Manage site access and opening/closing
- Oversee furniture, equipment, stock and inventory
- Track supplier invoices and event costs
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure health & safety requirements are met
- Maintain and update an operational handbook
- Meeting & Event Support
- Support logistics, room setups and delegate requirements
- Assist with accommodation bookings and venue visits
- Coordinate seasonal floristry and décor
- IT & AV Support
- First-line IT and AV support during events
- Support laptops, mobile devices, printers and Wi-Fi
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and AV platforms
- Basic macOS, Apple and Android support
- Escalate issues to specialist teams when required
