An iconic British luxury fashion house is looking for a commercially-minded Power BI Specialist to take full ownership of their reporting ecosystem. This is a hands-on role where you will maintain, enhance, and evolve a global reporting landscape. You will act as the bridge between technical data and strategic decision-making, partnering with departments ranging from Retail and Merchandising to Finance and E-commerce. If you enjoy building robust data models and turning raw figures into compelling narratives, this role offers significant autonomy within a world-renowned creative environment.
Core Responsibilities
- System Ownership: End-to-end management of the Power BI workflow (ingestion, modelling, deployment, and monitoring).
- Administration & Governance: Manage the Power BI Service environment, including workspaces, access control, and refresh schedules.
- Data Modelling: Design high-performance, scalable models using star schema principles and writing/optimising complex DAX measures.
- Visual Storytelling: Build intuitive, visually engaging dashboards tailored to diverse business functions and executive needs.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to Finance, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Automate reporting processes and collaborate with IT/Data Engineering to ensure data integrity and security.
Your Profile
We are looking for a technically proficient candidate who is naturally curious and comfortable operating independently.
Essential Requirements
- Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on experience specifically within Microsoft Power BI.
- Fashion knowledge: Robust expertise about Fashion industry, trends, products and brands.
- Technical Skills: Advanced DAX and solid SQL skills.
- Data Architecture: Proven experience in data modelling (star schemas, relationships, and performance tuning).
- Environment Management: Experience managing Power BI Service (gateways, security roles, and workspaces).
- Communication: Ability to manage stakeholders and present complex data insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
Desirable
- Background in Retail, Luxury, or FMCG.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud-based data environments.
