The Lockdown Room is going from strength to strength, and we're looking for an enthusiastic, talented and forward-thinking Chef to join our growing team. Located on London City Island, just a 3-minute walk from Canning Town Underground Station, we're a vibrant, family-friendly bar and restaurant bringing something special to East London. We're passionate about serving delicious food, expertly crafted cocktails and some of East London's best independent beers, alongside an exciting calendar of events, live music and community experiences. Food is a huge part of what makes The Lockdown Bar special, and we're looking for someone who shares that passion. THE ROLE As our Chef, you'll play an important part in delivering the delicious dishes on our menu and ensuring every guest enjoys a fantastic food experience. From busy evenings and live music events to special occasions and relaxed meals with friends, you'll help make sure our food is something people come back for. With our business continuing to grow, including the exciting opening of our second Lockdown Room, this is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an expanding independent hospitality business. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for someone who: Has a genuine passion for food, cooking and creating delicious dishes. Brings creativity, enthusiasm and consistency to the kitchen. Takes pride in food quality, presentation and maintaining high standards. Works well as part of a team and enjoys a positive kitchen environment. Can thrive in a fast-paced, busy and fun hospitality setting. Is reliable, motivated and keen to develop their skills. Wants to be part of a growing business and contribute to its future success.
