A leading life sciences instrumentation business is looking for a Sales Product Specialist to manage and grow an established territory across Oxfordshire and the South of the UK. This role focuses on selling technically complex capital equipment into academic, biotech and pharmaceutical organisations, using a consultative sales approach and building strong long-term relationships with customers.
The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a well-established territory with strong growth potential while working closely with internal teams including applications specialists, service engineers and sales leadership.
Key responsibilities- Deliver against regional sales targets through new business development and account growth
- Develop and execute a territory plan to increase market share and expand account penetration
- Proactively prospect, network and generate new opportunities within academic, biotech and pharmaceutical organisations
- Conduct regular customer site visits and maintain strong client relationships
- Maintain accurate CRM reporting and pipeline management
- Work collaboratively with internal technical, applications and service teams
- Attend relevant industry conferences and events
- Degree in life sciences or a related scientific discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in life sciences sales
- Experience selling into academic, biotech or pharmaceutical customers
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Strong relationship building and consultative sales skills
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft 365 tools
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
- Experience selling capital equipment or analytical instrumentation
- Competitive base salary
- OTE bonus circa £25,000 (uncapped commission structure)
