We are looking for a friendly and motivated individual to join our busy Reception Team as the first point of contact for our patients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to contribute to a supportive healthcare environment, providing a warm welcome and helping patients access the care they need.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will assist patients with appointment requests and general enquiries, both in person and over the phone. You will manage a range of administrative tasks, use our EMIS clinical system, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, professional, and efficient reception service to patients and visitors.
- Handle incoming telephone calls, manage appointment requests, and respond to general enquiries.
- Assist patients in accessing the right care by directing them appropriately and offering clear information.
- Use the EMIS clinical system to book appointments, update records, and support clinical workflows.
- Carry out a range of administrative tasks including scanning, filing, prescription processing, and data entry.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times in line with practice policies and NHS guidelines.
