We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified candidate to join the team atF.T. Farfan (Jamaica) Limitedfor the position outlined below.
JOB PURPOSE
Assists in the receipt and delivery of goods from the Warehouse to the Customer in a timely, orderly manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Picks and verifies daily orders.
- Assists with the check-off of goods for delivery to customers.
- Loads and offloads goods onto/off delivery vehicles.
- Accompanies the Van Driver to customer locations.
- Packs and maintains shelves in the Warehouse.
- Assists in the off-loading, checking and receiving of all goods for the Warehouse.
- Assists in the verification of goods received via varying modes of transportation (i.e. air freight, sea freight, local shipment) within the specified time.
- Assists with stock checks and stock check preparations.
- Drives and maintains forklift when required.
- Conducts housekeeping activities in the Warehouse and surrounding areas.
- Assists in ensuring that all accessories such as rope, strapping, tarpaulins, and tools are secured.
- Demonstrates active adherence to all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, while also promoting HSE awareness.
- Performs other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of five (5) CXC O’ Level passes inclusive of Mathematics and English Language.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of applications
- Valid forklift license or certification preferred.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- The ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimum supervision.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational and Problem‑Solving skills
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Team Oriented.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills.
Please note: This is a full-time, on‑site position based in Jamaica. Successful candidates must be legally authorized to work in Jamaica. Any relocation costs associated with accepting this position will be the sole responsibility of the successful candidate.
