Key responsibilities of the Housekeeping Assistant will include:
Guest Experience
- Prepare guest bedrooms to exceptional standards before arrival.
- Ensure every room is clean, fresh, welcoming and beautifully presented.
- Respond positively to guest requests and communicate effectively with Reception and operational teams.
- Take pride in creating a memorable first impression for every guest.
Housekeeping Operations
- Clean bedrooms, bathrooms and allocated public areas thoroughly and efficiently.
- Replace guest amenities, linen and supplies.
- Report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment and storage areas in excellent condition.
- Follow all health and safety, COSHH and infection control procedures.
- Support periodic deep cleaning programmes.
- Maintain productivity whilst consistently delivering high standards.
Service Culture
- Live the JA Resorts & Hotels philosophy by beingWarm, Real and Freshevery day.
- Support the hotel’s progression towards Forbes Travel Guide standards through exceptional cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Participate in daily team briefings and continuous learning.
- Follow departmental Standard Operating Procedures and contribute to improving standards.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with Reception, Maintenance and all hotel departments.
- Communicate room status updates accurately and promptly.
- Support colleagues during busy periods.
- Take pride in contributing to a positive, welcoming and professional culture.
The Ideal Housekeeping Assistant:
- Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Positive, reliable and hardworking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of luxury hotel standards would be advantageous but not essential

- A reliable and collaborative member of the Housekeeping team.
