Role Overview

JA The Bruntsfield is preparing for an exciting future, with a significant refurbishment planned over the coming year as we continue our journey towards Forbes Travel Guide standards.

Our Food & Beverage team is central to creating memorable guest experiences within The Neighbourhood Restaurant, Bar and Lounge.

Whether welcoming guests for breakfast, serving lunch, delivering evening dining or creating a relaxed atmosphere within the bar and lounge, every interaction should reflect genuine hospitality and exceptional service.

As a Food & Beverage Assistant, you will work flexibly across the restaurant, breakfast service, lounge and bar, ensuring every guest enjoys a warm welcome and an outstanding dining experience.

  • Work flexibly across breakfast, restaurant, bar and lounge service. (depending on what working pattern suits your life - we have flexible options for all)
  • Prepare and maintain service areas to exceptional presentation standards.
  • Serve food and beverages professionally and efficiently.
  • Develop strong product knowledge of menus, wines, beverages and seasonal offerings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards at all times.
  • Support colleagues during busy periods and hotel events.

About You

  • Previous Food & Beverage or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Flexible approach to working breakfast, restaurant, lounge and bar shifts.
  • Knowledge of luxury hospitality or Forbes standards would be advantageous but not essential.
