Examinations Officer, 36.5 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time + 1 week). Grade 4 (£34,434 - £41,771). Actual pro‑rata salary £30,990 – £37,593.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the administration of external examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of examinations and assessments at all times.
  • Support the Headteacher/CEO in preventing malpractice before, during and after examinations.
  • Recruit and line‑manage the invigilation team.
  • Support the school’s data management processes and produce accurate and timely data analysis.

Qualifications

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong understanding of JCQ regulations and exam board procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents.
  • Experience of managing internal and external examinations in an educational setting.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience with educational MIS systems (e.g. Arbor, Bromcom, SIMS).
  • Experience managing staff.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
