Location: the UK (England), South Africa (Pretoria), Italy (Milan), and Poland (Warsaw). Hybrid model remote work with office presence required on set days each week.

Purpose of the Role

The Assurance Portfolio Analyst supports effective management and oversight of the BSI Assurance project portfolio. The role ensures high-quality portfolio reporting, strengthens governance and compliance, and enables strategic prioritisation and resource optimisation so that initiatives deliver value, benefits, and alignment with the BSI Assurance strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the management and capture of training data, analysis, and reporting.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of Dashboards in support of the area's team measuring performance and reporting.
  • Responsible for analysing data to identify opportunities.
  • Responsible for using data to identify and promote improvements.
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines and project timeframes.
  • Support and occasionally lead on development of some systems.
  • Support team with the development, measuring and reporting metrics and KPIs.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Quality and timeliness of portfolio reporting.
  • Data completeness and adherence to portfolio standards across all initiatives.
  • Percentage of initiatives with clear strategic alignment and benefits profiles.
  • Improved predictability of the portfolio (milestone adherence, risk trends).
  • Stakeholder satisfaction with insights, collaboration, and governance support.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a relevant project management, PMO, or change-related role.
  • Proficiency with portfolio/reporting tools: PPM, MS Project, Excel, Power BI (including DAX and data modelling).
  • Strong knowledge of delivery frameworks: PRINCE2, PMI, Agile, MoP/P3O principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in governance, compliance, and reporting within a PMO/Centre of Excellence.
  • Ability to support benefits identification, financial tracking (OpenX/Capex), and variance analysis.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and ability to translate data into executive-ready insights.
  • Language: English C1.
