We are looking for a Product Certification Auditor to conduct product certification assessments across varied environments, ensuring compliance with BSI's rigorous certification schemes and Kitemark standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepare assessment reports and deliver findings to clients to ensure understanding of the assessment decision and clear direction to corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Recommend the issue, re‐issue or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy, procedures and prescribed time frame.
  • Maintain overall account responsibility and accountability for nominated accounts to ensure effective partnership, excellent service delivery and account growth.
  • Lead assessment teams as required, ensuring team members are adequately briefed and service quality is maintained.
  • Provide accurate and prompt information to support services, maintaining client records and meeting internal information requirements.
  • Coach colleagues as appropriate, assist in induction and coaching of new colleagues, and support skill development.
  • Plan and schedule workloads to maximise revenue‐earning activity.
  • Complete an extensive onboarding plan to reach Lead Assessor status through the prescribed program.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills, including preparation for and taking standardized assessments related to audit practices.
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned clients based on location and qualification match.
  • Contact clients, schedule visits, plan assessments, conduct assessments, and manage results efficiently.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years' industry experience in a product manufacturing environment, emphasis on quality management or product certification.
  • Ideally qualified within an engineering or manufacturing related subject.
  • Previous experience in product assessment or auditing against standards.
  • Ability to travel frequently across the UK and occasionally within Europe.
  • Knowledge of quality management system auditing practices (ISO 9001).
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification is advantageous; training pathways are provided if not yet qualified.
