Data Scientist
London, Chiswick – Hybrid Working
As a Data Scientist at BSI, you will have the unique opportunity to implement and build advanced analytical solutions from scratch, as well as enhance and give continuity to developed models. These solutions will empower the global BSI marketing teams with insights and tools, which will drive data-driven strategies and decision making.
This will be critical to providing the organisation with robust data pipelines, ensuring a seamless data flow, enabling the leverage of data insights which will achieve marketing excellence and optimise campaign performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a Marketing Data Science plan and projects roadmap.
- Automate and streamline the current reporting requirements within the Data Science and Insights team.
- Support BSI’s wider data and analytics improvement projects.
- Champion the use of data science to drive business improvements and help build a data science community within BSI.
- Engage with key stakeholders to establish business requirements and opportunities for data science studies.
- Identify data sources required, collecting, migrating and cleansing the data to support analysis.
- Extract data insight and present data and conclusions to stakeholders in a compelling way, utilizing data visualization and other BI tools (Tableau/Power BI) for reporting.
- Co-ordinate with various technical/functional teams to implement the data products and monitor the results.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Great knowledge of Python, and experience using this to achieve and deliver objectives.
- Experience utilising data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.)
- Strong analytical and data-driven way of working.
- Ability to convey highly technical elements to non-technical audiences.
It would be highly beneficial, but not essential for you to have:
- Degree qualification in a technical subject (economics, data science, mathematics, statistics etc.).
- Understanding/experience with Data Engineering.
- Previous experience working with Databases and SQL.
- Experience in a marketing environment.
- Previous exposure/experience to Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence.
