About the role:

Are you looking to kick start you career in HR at one of London\'s leading visitor attractions with a world-famous collection? Do you have excellent interpersonal skills, an eye for detail and an interest in developing your understanding of HR policy and procedures throughout all stages of the employee lifecycle?

As an integral member of a busy HR department, this role’s focus is ensuring the effective and reliable delivery of HR processes to all the Museum\'s employees. Our People Coordinators provide crucial support across all stages of the employee lifecycle including:

Recruitment: Working directly with recruiting managers to develop adverts, schedule interviews, and managing the entire onboarding process from job offer to induction, in line with internal procedures and current legislation

Process Delivery & Administration: Preparing and processing documentation aligned with policies and procedures with efficiency and attention to detail, including employee contracts, background checks, and other sensitive information.

HR Systems and Record Maintenance: Ensuring data within the HRIS and employee files are accurate and up to date.

Communications and Employee Engagement: Managing shared inboxes and responding to a variety of employee queries in a timely, polite and helpful manner. Ensuring employees have access to the Museum’s benefits, preparing internal communications and keeping the intranet up to date.

Employee Relations: Support the People Advisors with the resolution of cases by taking minutes of sensitive meetings and preparing documentation as needed.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Efficiently coordinate the recruitment process, from drafting and posting job adverts, arranging interviews, to carrying out recruitment checks and issuing contractual documentation.
  • Ensure all employee records are accurately maintained, with documents filed in a timely manner, and in line with data protection requirements.
  • Prepare paperwork and communications, including employment references and contract extensions.
  • Ensure that DBS renewals are carried out in line with the Museum’s procedures and legal requirements for employees involved in secure cargo transportation.
  • Take full and accurate minutes of sensitive meetings, as required.
  • Answer first level queries from managers and employees regarding policies and procedures.

About you:

  • Wide-ranging administration experience, including proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and experience working with databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision to prioritise your own workload and coordinate with others.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work within deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A positive attitude, strong customer focus and the ability to adapt to a changing work environment.

Experience working in an HR role, knowledge of relevant employment legislation and achieved or working towards a HR qualification would be an advantage.
