Visitor and Security Services – Access Control Assistant

The Visitor and Security Services department (VSS) at the British Museum ensures a safe and welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and collections. We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team, focusing on high-quality visitor and security services.

Key Responsibilities

As an Access Control Assistant, you will:

  • Process access requests and manage security passes
  • Welcome contractors and visitors, ensuring proper checks are completed
  • Oversee the Museum Electronic Access Control and Database Systems
  • Issue, renew, and revoke security passes and keys

Daily Activities

You will be part of a busy team providing efficient access control, ensuring individuals on site are properly checked and secure.
