The predicted salary is between 36000 - 44000 £ per year.

Location: St Pancras

Contract: Fixed Term until 26/03/2027

Hours: Part time for 14.4 hours

Grade: B

Salary: £14,397 Pro rata (£35,993 FTE)

This is the starting salary for this role unless the successful candidate is able to evidence being in receipt of a higher salary in which case this may be reviewed.

About the role

The Eccles Institute builds, cares for and shares the Americas and Oceania collection at the British Library. We are looking for a temporary, part-time Curator to manage a number of key projects during a busy, exciting time for the Institute.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the research culture and insight of the British Library’s Eccles Institute for the Americas and Oceania
  • Developing, managing and delivering the Eccles Institute’s Creative Fellowship programme, and support delivery of the Institute’s Visiting Fellowship programme
  • Managing key external stakeholder relationships with scholarly societies and academic networks relevant to the Eccles Institute’s remit and research priorities
  • Contributing to the Eccles Institute’s wider programme of cultural events, public engagement and learning activities centred on the Americas
