The British and Irish Lions are looking to recruit for a Platforms & Influencer Manager. This role will play a central role in shaping how the Lions connect with fans across the world. Reporting to the Head of Digital and working closely with our Social Media Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the Lions’ website, emerging digital products, and a growing network of creators and influencers. With the first-ever Lions Women’s Tour in 2027 on the horizon, this is a unique opportunity to help shape how a new chapter of Lions history is told and experienced across digital channels. This role is perfect for a creative, innovative digital specialist who understands how fans consume content, knows how to build and activate influencer communities, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll bring strong platform expertise, a passion for women’s sport, and the ability to deliver standout digital campaigns that elevate the Lions brand and reach new audiences.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Overseeing the Lions owned platforms including LionsRugby.com as well as any future platforms such as a Lions App.
- Overseeing the Lions Influencer Programme.
- Developing a network of content creators and planning our activations with them to promote the Lions to new audiences.
- Work alongside our Social Media Manager in developing and managing Lions content for our social channels as well as our database of over 1.7 million fans.
- Support our Social Media Manager in managing our social media channels.
- Responsibility for managing the Lions website and content for digital campaigns and working with our marketing leads on digital fan engagement and digital marketing.
- Working with our commercial and charity partners to deliver their rights on Lions channels.

Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in digital across either platforms, content, web, app, social and or influencers.
- Strong knowledge in women’s sport and rugby.
- In depth knowledge of the content creator and influencer market.
- Experience of planning content campaigns across digital platforms.
- Strong knowledge on web and editorial content.
- Experience of direct content creation on social platforms.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
Additional Information
- Reports to: Head of Digital
- Contract: Full time; Permanent
- Location: Flexible within UK or Ireland
- If the successful candidate is based in Ireland, they will work from Dublin HQ on a hybrid basis with travel to the UK and internationally as required.
- If the successful candidate is based in the UK they will work primarily from home with regular visits to London and Dublin, alongside travel elsewhere in the UK and internationally as required.
