The British Institute of NDT (BINDT) is looking for a new team member to join its Technical and Industrial Department, with opportunities for UK and international travel.
The British Institute of NDT is looking to recruit an experienced Certification and Technical Engineer to maintain and develop the PCN scheme and its documentation (NDT, CM and Inspection programmes). The role is key to the management and continuous improvement of BINDT's certification schemes.
Key responsibilities:
- The provision of deep and broad technical support to staff, trustees, committees and other stakeholders associated with BINDT’s certification services.
- Management of the BINDT audit competency programme, which will include oversight of audits and the potential to conduct audits and observation.
Criteria:
- To hold or have held Level 2 recognised certification in a minimum of three methods, one of which shall be volumetric and, in addition, to hold, have held or be willing to achieve Level 3 recognised certification in a minimum of two methods.
- Demonstrable qualities of impartiality, discretion, integrity and the ability to work effectively in teams and with other individuals at all levels of seniority.
- Knowledge/awareness of current ISO 9712, ISO 17024 and ISO 17021 and all other relevant standards.
- Ability to travel nationally and possibly internationally on occasion (representing BINDT at conferences and exhibitions, standards meetings, committee meetings, etc).
