British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner in London. The Global IDT Business Analyst specializing in Finance (CP&A – Commercial Planning & Analysis, Tax/Excise, and Treasury) plays a key role in aligning business needs with technology solutions across strategic planning, forecasting, performance reporting, and tax, excise, and treasury functions. This role involves gathering and interpreting global requirements, finding opportunities to improve and automate processes, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver IDT solutions that strengthen efficiency and effectiveness in CP&A, Treasury, and Tax/Excise.
Responsibilities
- Build strong partnerships with CP&A, Tax, Treasury partners, IDT teams, and vendors to align technology with business goals.
- Find opportunities to leverage technology, acting as a trusted advisor on digital procedures and emerging solutions.
- Define and drive a strategic digital roadmap, setting priorities, goals, and success metrics for transformation initiatives.
- Design and deliver scalable, compliant IDT solutions in collaboration with architects and developers.
- Enable cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment, partner engagement, and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Lead end-to-end project management, including planning, execution, risk mitigation, and resource management.
- Inspire change management, adoption, and continuous improvement, including innovation, performance monitoring, and AI integration.
What are we looking for?
- Strong domain expertise in CP&A, Tax, and Treasury within multinational or consulting environments, with solid knowledge of global regulations and standards.
- Proven experience in business analysis and IT consulting, including requirements gathering, process analysis, and solution design.
- Extensive project management capability, delivering complex IDT initiatives end-to-end using established methodologies.
- Effective partner management, establishing relationships across IT, business leaders, and external partners while handling prioritization.
- Demonstrated change management experience, driving adoption of new technologies through training, communication, and engagement strategies.
- Hands-on involvement in finance digital transformation, including roadmap development, solution implementation, and return on investment tracking.
- Strong leadership and professional skills, including critical thinking, communication, analytical capability, commercial approach, and a relevant degree/MBA qualification.
