We are a leading consumer goods business present in 150+ markets, thanks to our global portfolio of brands, a successful strategy and 46,000 talented people. Our purpose is to create A Better Tomorrow by Building a Smokeless World. Our aim is to migrate adult smokers, who don't quit, from cigarettes to smokeless alternatives and become a predominantly smokeless business by 2035.

Building a Smokeless World is no small feat—it’s fuelled by the collective efforts of talented individuals, each bringing their unique perspective. This is the most innovative chapter in BAT’s history, and you can help shape it.

Our purpose: To Build A Better Tomorrow. We’ve been busy over the last 122 years, but nothing feels as exciting as where we are today. We have reached a key milestone of 18% of our group revenue coming from smokeless products in H1 2024.

But what exactly are these new product categories?

  • Vapour Products: Vapour products are battery-powered devices that heat liquid formulations – e-liquids – to create a vapour which is inhaled. Most e-liquids contain water, propylene glycol and glycerol, flavourings and nicotine, although some e-liquids don’t contain any nicotine. The products contain no tobacco and no combustion takes place.
  • Heated Products: Tobacco Heating Products (THPs) are devices that heat tobacco to generate an aerosol. Our flagship THP brand, glo, comprises an electronic handheld device that contains a lithium-ion battery which powers a heating chamber. A specially designed rod containing homogenised tobacco, called a Neostik, is then inserted into the device.
  • Modern Oral: Under our Velo brand, our modern oral pouches contain high purity nicotine, water and other high-quality ingredients. Modern oral products represent an exciting opportunity to offer a device-free alternative to adult smokers.

As a member of our team, you’ll work on a global stage, collaborating with colleagues and serving consumers around the world. You’ll represent the communities we serve and define where your career could take you.

We have lots of teams working collaboratively to get our products to market quickly, efficiently and with customers in mind. Our people are go-getters, problem-solvers, change-drivers. No matter your role, your work will fuel our progress. Here at BAT, you’ll create 'A Better Tomorrow' from one of our seven business areas.
