The Digital Technology Executive will be an integral member of the Western Europe (WE) Area Digital Technology team within IDT, focused on supporting the implementation of Trade and B2B digital solutions. This role plays a pivotal part in bridging Sales, Marketing, BI, and IT, translating strategic visions into tangible digital capabilities. The candidate will contribute to the end-to-end delivery of multi-channel technology products that align with business objectives and values across BAT’s dynamic European end markets. Strong collaboration, business acumen, and a drive to navigate complex ecosystems are essential for success in this role.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the Digital Transformation Manager in delivering digital products and executing the Trade Digital Strategy across Western Europe to help end markets achieve their goals.
- Drive collaboration within the Area Trade Centre of Excellence, sharing best practices and fostering continuous improvement.
- Conduct data analysis to assess and expand trade digital capabilities, supporting both strategic and operational decision-making.
- Actively contribute to design-thinking workshops, market research, and competitor analysis to identify customer needs and inform digital product strategies.
- Facilitate automation adoption and explore innovative digital solutions that create value for BAT customers.
- Manage project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and effective communication within product teams.
- Support stakeholder engagement by collecting and assessing new requirements, preparing business cases, and evaluating usability and feasibility.
- Monitor KPIs, share insights on emerging trends, and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous innovation within the IDT team.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in the FMCG sector or solid understanding of its dynamics, with a background in IT, product, or marketing-related digital roles.
- Strong grasp of digital product fundamentals, including customer-centric design, user experience, and customer journeys.
- Solid understanding of trade and B2B principles, including trade effectiveness and the B2B–B2C connection.
- Proficient in Agile methodologies and experienced in handling data, analytics, and performance reporting using dashboards and visualizations.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional, multicultural, and fast-paced environments.
- Skilled in vendor relationship management and familiar with CRM tools, automation, and digital customer journey technologies.
- Degree educated (e.g., business, marketing, product management), with experience in B2B, D2C, tech/startup environments, or business intelligence considered an advantage.
